About Tama
Tama Lunceford is a storyteller, speaker, and wordsmith whose work explores memory, resilience, humor, heritage, and the shared experiences that connect us. Blending contemporary personal narrative with folklore, family stories, historical tales, and moments of unexpected laughter, her storytelling invites audiences into reflection, recognition, and wonder.
A performer with the Jonesborough Storytellers Guild and a member of the National Storytelling Network, Tama has shared stories from the stage of the International Storytelling Center and presented at regional and national conferences. Her signature program, Silent Shadows: Unveiling the Grim Tapestry of Human Trafficking, was featured at the 2024 National Storytelling Network Conference in Seattle.
Originally from a small town in Northern New York, Tama’s journey has carried her through community mental health, business and accounting, higher education, and ultimately back to the art of story. She holds degrees in Social Work and Communication & Storytelling and now lives in Nashville, Tennessee, where she continues to craft stories rooted in humanity, memory, and connection.
