Tales of Folk, Fairies, Family and Wonder

Tama’s repertoire also includes folktales, fairy tales, wonder tales, historical legends, humorous family stories, and traditional tales passed from one generation to the next. From stories rich with wisdom and heart to tales that are delightfully absurd, these programs invite audiences to laugh, reflect, imagine, and remember.

Whether sharing a centuries-old folktale, a humorous family hunting story learned from her father, a historical legend rooted in place and memory, or a playful wonder tale explaining why dogs sniff each other’s butts, Tama brings warmth, humanity, and vivid storytelling to every performance. Some stories carry quiet lessons. Others exist simply for the joy of gathering together and sharing the timeless experience of story.
